Symptom

  • The message "Current process infected with 11" in the module prSQLTEXT() is seen in the SAP ASE errorlog when running "dbcc sqltext":

Current process (0x683b09fa) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00000000010d514b (prSQLTEXT+0x914), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x00000000deadbb96)

  • The process (spid) running "dbcc sqltext" is against a process (spid) that has been marked as a zombie:

 Task 1745815187 is made zombie because it cannot be cleaned up during its termination. This task may have resources allocated to it.

  • The zombie spid was executing a cursor.
  • The stack itrace ncludes the following functions:

prSQLTEXT
exec_dbcc
s_execute
