2780420 - Disable API Login Audit Data

Symptom

When running a Login Audit Data report in Ad-hoc reporting, API users show with duplicate entries

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental

Environment

 SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create Login Data Ad-Hoc Report via Reporting
  2. Include API login user
  3. Report shows duplicate entries for one user's login event

Cause

Although it seems like there are duplicate entries for these users, there are milliseconds between each event which the report does not show.

This is an expected behaviour when a user is logging in through an API. The system will record 3-4 login records for a one-time login.

Resolution

As of the 1902 release, a feature has been added that allows customers to turn off API login audit data.

  1. Login to Provisioning
  2. Go to Company Settings
  3. "Disable API login audit data"
  4. Save
