2781801 - Behavior of the My Documents tab in Analysis for Office

You are using SAP Analysis for Office. If a user saves an Analysis for Office workbook in their personal My Documents on the BW server, it is searchable by other users using the technical name. If the other users have edit authorizations, they can even overwrite other documents available in My Documents.

1. Save an Analysis Workbook to My Documents on the BW server using File/Analysis/"Save workbook on the SAP Business Warehouse platform".
2. The other user can search for it, find it, open it, edit it when using File/Analysis/"Open workbook from the SAP Business Warehouse platform".

An entity called 'My Documents' does not exist on the BW server, it only exists inside Analysis for Office. It is simulated by simply displaying all documents created by the current user under the tab 'My Documents'.
When saving to 'My Documents', Analysis for Office saves the document on the server without saving it to a role.
This also means that everybody with enough rights can search, read and even change such a document.

This behavior is by design and is not planned to be changed. You must actively maintain authorizations for workbooks that you do not want others to access.
