How does the End Date validation of Candidate Profile background element fields occur?

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

• The end Date validation of the Candidate Profile background element fields will occur on the basis of the mapping done in the candidate standardization. Refer 2082051 for information about the steps to configure the standardization mapping.
• Only the Candidate Profile is supported for standardization mapping at present.
• The end date validation  of "OutsideWorkExperience" background element depends on the standardization of the "Present employer" field and end date validation of "Education" background element depends on the standardization of the "Present Student" in the candidate standardization.

• If the value of present Employer / Present Student is configured as  'Yes' in the candidate standardization then the validation of the mandatory End date field is skipped and field is disabled in the UI.
