Symptom

A Resource Shortage dump occurs in a source system connected to a BW system when you attempt to extract data from a change pointer-based DataSource, typically a master data DataSource (e.g. 0MATERIAL_ATTR, 0CUST_SALES_ATTR, 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR, 0MAT_ST_LOC_ATTR, etc). Here's an example of the dump:
