When using Fiori App "Maintain Employees" to create employee, you have the following message:

"Read-only access because HCM integration is active. Please use the Fiori app "Import Employees"."

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

1- Enter in the tile "Maintain Employee".

2- Click in "new".

3- Message "Read-only access because HCM integration is active. Please use the Fiori app "Import Employees".".

This app cannot be used in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition where instead of the Fiori App "Import Employees" or the replication of employee data from SuccessFactors Employee Central or an External HR Workforce Integration can be used.

If you are using the user "SAP_CUST_INI" you will have access to "Maintain Employees" but it is only needed for preset phase (for first login and onboarding of the first Business User). When the preset phase is finished this app does not work anymore.

Note: App Maintain Employees (App ID F2288 in Fiori Library) is only available in SAP Marketing Cloud or SAP Integrated Business Planning Cloud. This application directly generates the Business Partner in BUP003 role with no connection to the HCM module.

Use the Fiori app "Import Employees".
