2783996 - PDF print properties are lost by kernel merge

Symptom

In the system which has note 2237181 applied, the ADS spool consisting of multiple PDF files(parts) are merged into a single PDF file. However the PDF print properties like DuplexMode is reset to the default Simplex
(This can be seen in PDF->Document properties->Advanced) after the kernel merge. Because of this the following two issues may occur:

  • Direct print from SAP, with option Duplex Mode: From Document in Print Options Editor(described in note 2768405) always print the PDF in Simplex.
  • Print offline PDF from Adobe Reader, the duplex default setting in the print dialog of Adobe Reader is wrong.
