2784061 - Connection from C4C to MS Exchange WAP Server failed using server-side groupware integration

Symptom

Customer cannot establish connection from their C4C Tenant (using server-side groupware integration) to MS Exchange WAP Server. One or both of the following Errors appear:

  • "Users' Exchange Impersonated Access failed because the impersonating account could not access the user's accounts."
  • "ISA-097: Incomplete Exchange Impersonation Configuration: Unsupported User Impersonation Type."

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to the C4C tenant with Support or Key user credentials.
  2. Launch the HTML5 UI.
  3. Open Administrator > Groupware Settings > Organisations.
  4. Choose company profile > Email Configuration.
  5. Change the Mailbox Access Type to "Microsoft Exchange Impersonation".
  6. Fill in the needed information: Account Logon (as defined by customer), Password (as defined by customer) and Exchange Webservice URL (as defined by customer).
  7. Click "Check Users' Exchange Impersonated Access".

Cause

The MS Exchange Server of the customer is restricted to a certain IP range.

Resolution

The customer needs to add all the IP's listed for the respective DNS where their tenant is located on.
