2784101 - Unable to Open or Edit Panels - ONB

Symptom

This Knowledge Base article provides an explanation on how to grant permissions to edit panels within SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into On-boarding application
  2. Navigate to Settings > Panels
  3. Click on any custom panel
  4. Notice you can't click to see any field properties

Cause

This is a permission issue. The permission for the affected user was removed from "HR Administrators" role. As a result, the panel edit option was revoked.

Resolution

  1. Log into the On-boarding application 
  2. Navigate to Security > Group
  3. Click the HR Admin > HR Administrators 
  4. Click on Edit > Navigate to Other Properties tab
  5. Check the Edit Panels checkbox

Once completed, verify issue has been resolved:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Panels
  2. Click on any custom panel
  3. Notice you now have access to see the field properties
