2784327 - Thousands of messages "SSL or Crypto Error Info" cluttering the ASE errorlog

Symptom

  • There are can be thousands of these messages in the ASE errorlog when the SSL connection is closed abruptly.
    kernel  SSL or Crypto Error Info: psn 203, vsn 332, sockp 18251b500 error id 12, severity -2, provider id 2.
    kernel  SSL or Crypto Error Message: 'An I/O error occurred during the underlying SSL operation.  Check your I/O callback handler return values and error codes.'.

  • Errors can also been seen in trusted.txt.
    kernel  SSL or Crypto Error Info: psn 17, vsn 2, sockp 0x14d2bc980 error id 302, severity -2, provider id 0.
    kernel  SSL or Crypto Error Message: 'The SSL handshake failed.  Root error: SYSCALL'.
