2784775 - How to use 'NrOfSingleCellsInContext' setting in Analysis

Symptom

When selecting more than a 100 cells in the crosstab for an analysis (e.g. filtering) there is no execute option in the context menu

Environment

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office

Reproducing the Issue

Select more than a 100 cell and click on the context menu

Cause

There is a technical setting that defines the maximum number of crosstab cells that can be selected to execute analysis option.

If more cells are selected in a crosstab, the analysis options are disabled. The default value is 100. The setting got introduced due to performance issues.

Resolution

Change the default value by going to File > Analysis > Customize Analysis > Technical Configuration and look for setting 'NrOfSingleCellsInContext'.
