Rating Sources
In the Set Bonus Calculation page there are multiple drop-down options for the rating section being pulled into forms via Performance forms.
As seen above, there are multiple options to select which relate to various sections of the Performance for being referenced by Variable Pay.
When using one of these options, please ensure the Performance form is correctly section with the corresponding section. Otherwise, rating may not populate within your Individual sections.
Important
Following recent enhancements in Variable Pay, we have the ability to select these options such as overallObjective, overallPerformance etc via the UI.
However, there is a current limitation of the UI where you cannot select the "default" summary rating. This will be further enhanced in the 1H 2022 release.
Should you want this in the meantime, it can be achieved by updating the template xml directly. From the section seen below please delete and remove the "ratingType" tag.
This needs to be done via provisioning, so please contact your partner or consultant to have this updated.
Rating Sources + Assignment Based Ratings (ABR)
While using ABR in Variable Pay on an equation which uses Individual performance, there are multiple options when selecting a Performance form.
Assignment Payout
- By goal rating: The system calculates the payout for each goal item in business performance, team performance and/or individual performance sections.
- By section rating: The system calculates the payout based on the section rating of each section (business performance, team performance, and/or individual performance.)
- By summary rating : The system calculates the payout based on the calculated/overall rating of PM Form.
Assignment Match Rule with PM forms
- Use the Performance Review form if its date range overlaps with the Assignment's
- Start date is the same as the Assignment's start date
- End date is the same as the Assignment's end date
- Start date and End date is the same as the Assignment's start and end date
- Start date or End date is the same as the Assignment's start or end date
Conflicts of Performance forms vs Employee History
What determines which PM Rating will be chosen in Variable Pay should an employee's assignment history match both?
- The last modified PM form shall be linked to the Variable Pay Worksheet.
- One PM Form will be chosen for 1 employee.
- If the start date and end date are the same, the most recently updated PM form will be linked to the employee.
- The workaround is to manually edit the start and end dates of performance forms for the employees that have more than one performance form over the course of the fiscal year.
