Symptom

  • Received the following errors in the Backup Server log:

Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database mydb: 1266240 kilobytes (98%) LOADED.
Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database mydb: 1285184 kilobytes (100%) LOADED.
Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database mydb: 1285192 kilobytes (100%) LOADED.
D00: SYBMULTBUF ERROR: Volume validation error: attempt to flush '/dev/rohd00dlv_001' returned 22.
Backup Server: 4.192.2.1:
Backup Server: 4.192.2.1:
Backup Server: 3.42.1.1: LOAD is complete (database mydb).

  • The database was created on raw partitions (as opposed to file system devices).
