2785605 - Employee Time Import Displays Full Day Instead of Half Day Absence

Symptom

Importing Employee Time for a half day results in a full day being displayed in Administer Time on the user's profile.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Import and Export Data
  2. Select Download Template
  3. Select Employee Time for the field 'Select Generic Object'
  4. Select No for the fields 'Include dependencies' and 'Include Immutable IDs'
  5. Fill out the template and import it in Import and Export Data.
  6. Observe that the imported Employee Time shows as a full day rather than a half day.

Cause

The issue occurs due to incorrect completion of the template before importing.

Resolution

  1. Enter 5 in the Fraction Quantity field when importing Employee Time for half days.
  2. Leave Deduction Quantity and Quantity in Days/Hours fields empty, as these values are automatically calculated by the system.
  3. For Clock Time users, ensure Start Time and End Time are included in the import file.
