2785753 - Unable to raise an error message when add multiple global information records

Symptom

Employee already have a Global Information record, but when I click on Add Global Information the system should trigger an error message preventing me to add this new record.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • Business Rules

Reproducing the Issue

1- Select an employee that already have a global information record

    2- Click on edit pencil

3- Click on Add Global Information

4- System should raise an error message

Resolution

This is an expected behavior, since rules that check if one or more record already exists will always use the database record to compare values.

In the example above, you have one record for Global Information in the database, so the rule will compare this record with the next one inserted and it will raise the alert/error message.
