2787208 - Error When Trying to Rehire Contingent Worker - Employee Central

Symptom

When trying to rehire a contingent worker, you receive the following error: Operations on inactive work order is not allowed

  • Contigent Workforce

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Add Contingent Worker
  2. Add Name of a previously maintained contingent worker
  3. Accept Match
  4. Try submit the new hire
  5. Error

Cause

The Effective Status field has been removed from the Contingent Worker Configuration UI

Resolution

Add this field back into the configuration.

  1. Manage Configuration UI
  2. Add Field
  3. Edit
  4. Visible > No
  5. Value Type > Resolver
  6. Value Type Resolver > effectiveStatus
  7. Save

Your configuration should look like the below

Note: The Effective Status field on the Work Order object (Configure Object Defintions -> Work Order) should be always "Editable".

This will stop the error from occurring and allow you to proceed with rehiring the contingent worker
