Symptom
When trying to rehire a contingent worker, you receive the following error: Operations on inactive work order is not allowed

Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- Contigent Workforce
Reproducing the Issue
- Add Contingent Worker
- Add Name of a previously maintained contingent worker
- Accept Match
- Try submit the new hire
- Error
Cause
The Effective Status field has been removed from the Contingent Worker Configuration UI
Resolution
Add this field back into the configuration.
- Manage Configuration UI
- Add Field
- Edit
- Visible > No
- Value Type > Resolver
- Value Type Resolver > effectiveStatus
- Save
Your configuration should look like the below
Note: The Effective Status field on the Work Order object (Configure Object Defintions -> Work Order) should be always "Editable".
This will stop the error from occurring and allow you to proceed with rehiring the contingent worker
