2787224 - Leading Zeros Are Removed from Customer Return Notification ID

Symptom

When creating a new Customer Return Notification, the system removes leading zeros from the Delivery Notification ID.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Inbound Logistics Work center.
  2. Go to New Customer Return Notification common task.
  3. Enter all the mandatory information. 
  4. Select Next and go to Edit Customer Return Delivery Notification section.
  5. Enter a Delivery Notification ID XYZ starting with a leading 0.
  6. Select Next.
  7. The Delivery Notification ID field displays ID excluding the leading zeros.

(XYZ represents Delivery Notification ID)

Cause

Leading zeros are not supported for Delivery Notification ID in SAP Business ByDesign. The system automatically removes leading zeros.

Resolution

To preserve the leading 0 in the Delivery Notification ID, use a valid special character before the leading 0.
