Symptom
My job offer published on LinkedIn expired after 30 days despite having a setup with slots.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Posting
Cause
Usually with slots, there is no expiration for the job offer published on the job boards that are using this system. So the job offer is valid as long as it's not being removed by the recruiter.
However, although LinkedIn is using slots, they are slots that expire automatically after 30 days, freeing the slot they were using.
Resolution
If the recruiter wants the job requisition to be on LinkedIn more than 30 days, the job needs to be reposted for another 30 days after it expires.
If you want to have a posting duration less than 30 days on LinkedIn, you can set it in the job board configuration (Manage Recruiting Posting > My Job Boards > LinkedIn > Credentials > Posting duration).
Note: when the job is reposted, a new url will be generated on Linkedin side as this is being considered as a new posting by the job board
