Symptom

  • When rebooting an ASE server
  • The ASE errorlog contains an "infected with signal 11" error in the module imrsm__alloc_metadata() with a stack trace:

Current process (0x210011) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00000000013492b1 (imrsm__alloc_metadata+0x881), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x(nil))

  • The stack trace includes the following functions:

imrsm__alloc_metadata
imrs__recover_insert
imrslogrec_redo_log
