2787701 - Deploy Binary Components - "Could not calculate kernel binary exchange instructions for OS XXX and DB XXX"

• During an upgrade on Software Update Manager (SUM) on a Java system, the following error can be found in the phase "Deploy Binary Components":

  The following error or errors have occurred during the execution of the current step:

  Could not update components. Deployment of queue Queue_<Date> at <Time> completed with error Deployment completed with error. See status messages for individual components. 
  sap.com/SAP KERNEL UNICODE LINUX_X86_64: Cannot exchange kernel binary archives. Could not execute the kernel patch. See previous messages. Could not calculate kernel binary exchange 
  instructions for OS <OS> and DB <DB>. Could not build configuration from input file /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/sdt/config/KernelTasks_UNX.xml. 
  Macro /J2EE/StandardSystem/ServiceInstance/ScsSidAdminUser/Password has an invalid value.
