Environment

Employee Central-Adhoc Report 

Reproducing the Issue

View test user Compensation Portlet

  1. Go to test user Compensation Portlet
  2. Result: Test User has 2 Pay range records in compensation Information on 01/02/2019 and 01/05/2019

Run Adhoc Report

  1. Go to Adhoc report 
  2. Select Sub-Domain Person and Employment (As of Date)
  3. Click column Compensation Information 
  4. select Pay Range
  5. Run
  6. Result: the Report shows 2  Pay range records in compensation Information on 01/02/2019 and 01/05/2019

Cause

 This is expected Behavior

Resolution

This is expected Behavior, you could end up with duplicate rows in the report if you include Pay Component or Compensation Information  data (if employees tend to have more than one)

Employee data as of a given date (today by default unless specified)

  1. Be mindful of the amount of Column Sets (JOINS) you include in 1 report - for example you could end up with duplicate rows in the report if you include Pay Component or Compensation Information  data (if employees tend to have more than one)
  2. Make sure to use Filters to limit the size/scope of the report - such as filtering on a particular Legal Entity, or Country.
  3. This report respects Cell Level Permissions
