2788526 - Lead - Owner determination

When you open the Lead Quick Create (QC) screen, the owner is not yet determined, no matter of your Business Configuration settings.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Click New Lead (either from the start screen or from the Sales work center > Leads view).
2. The owner field is not filled.
3. Enter an account or a company name.
4. The owner is determined in the first roundtrip.

The Lead Party Determination only happens when the lead receives values in the mandatory elements.

The owner belongs to the party determination, it only can be determined once the above mandatory values are entered , especial Company(account) data.

In other Sales objects, this works differently. For example, in the Opportunity QC, the owner can be determined upon creation of theOpportunity. This means, depending on your Business Configuration settings, the owner field can already be filled when you click New Opportunity. Different business objects have different requirement, e.g.  sales quote and sales order, the owner also not determined without account data...

For the owner to be determined:

• For lead creation with the Inactive Account & Contact scenario: lead name, the company name and - based on the BC scoping question - contact last name.
• For lead creation with the Active Account and Contact scenario: lead name and account.
