2788793 - SNOTE: Installed SAPCAR version does not support verification of signed archives

Symptom

You try to download a Note after implementing Digital Signature TCI Note 2576306 or the combination of Notes 2408073, 2546220, and 2508268. You get the following error:

Installed SAPCAR version does not support verification of signed archives
Message no. TN768
Diagnosis
The check for signed SAPCAR archives is activated. However, the SAPCAR tool in the installed version does not support checks for signed archives.
System Response
The action is canceled.
Procedure
Download the latest SAPCAR version from the SAP Support Portal and install it in the kernel directory.
Alternatively you can deactivate checks for signed archives in the settings.
