What does the Time Sheet Generic Object 'Time Management Task' do?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Sheet

Reproducing the Issue

  •  Employee’s time sheet data is generated (using time sheet generate job) for the current week (e.g. 6th May 2019 to 12th May 2019).
  •  The employee is then terminated on 8th May 2019.This makes the entries from 9th may to 12th may 2019 to be  invalid, and causes concern in payroll integration

Resolution

  •  With this new enhancement, when the employee is terminated, it automatically creates an object named ‘Time Management Task’ and executes the same.
  •  This job will split the time sheet into two:

          a. Employee Time sheet from 6th May to 8th May 2019 : TO BE APPROVED/APPROVED etc. status

          b. Employee Time Sheet from 9th May to 12th May 2019: INACTIVE status

  • The object will be auto run and correct all time sheet data entries which exists in the inactive period of the employee.
  • It also works if the employee is terminated on a past date i.e all time sheet date present from the termination date will be made Inactive.

NOTE: This enhancement is active from 1908 release.
