2789109 - There is no valid license for ASE server - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A SYSAM error is displayed when starting ASE or other SYSAM enabled product

    • The server does not start with message:

      There is no valid license for ASE server product. Installation date is not found or installation grace period has expired. Server will not boot.

      or

    • The server starts in grace mode with messages like:

      Checked out graced license for 1 ASE_CORE (2023.0214) will expire Tue 16 Jan 2024 02:13:21 PM UTC.
      SySAM: Failed to obtain license(s) for ASE_CORE feature from license file(s) or server(s).
