2789689 - How is a Manager Termination handled for Future Dated Hires?

• When a Supervisor is terminated, the "Transfer Direct Reports" section will appear on the screen and you can select from the list about who they will then report to:

• However, When an employee is hired with future date and the manager is terminated and becomes inactive in the system before the hire date, these Inactive employees still have terminated manager as their manager when their employment starts in the future.

1. A new hire with a hire date of May 13th was entered into the system on May 4.
2. Current manager will be terminated effective May 15th, Termination event was triggered on May 4.
3. For the active/ existing direct reports, there was an automatic event reason for manager change (Supervisor change only) inserted under their Job Information portlet. However, for the case of the new hire who would be Inactive from May 4 - May 12, there is none. 

Inactive future-dated hires (whose employment hasn’t yet started) are not listed as direct reports during the termination process. As a result, these employees retain the terminated manager as their supervisor once they become active as per system design. 

Manually update the Supervisor field in the Job Information record for these inactive users once their manager is terminated.
