2789772 - Manage Templates – Unable to remove fields

Symptom

In Manage Templates, the “trash” icon does not appear on the fields we want to remove in a goal plan template.

Reproducing the Issue

1. From Manage Templates, open a goal plan template.

2. Under Edit Fields, hover the mouse on the field which needs to be deleted.

3. Notice that there is no "trash" icon available.

Cause

SMART goal wizard is enabled under General Settings.

Resolution

If the goal plan template is SMART goal wizard- enabled, the following fields cannot be removed via Manage Templates:

Start Date field ID=”start”

Due Date field ID=”due”

Metric field ID=”metric”

If disabled, the following fields can be removed. As for the Metric field, it can only be removed from the backend via XML change.

Start Date field ID=”start”

Due Date field ID=”due”

Goal Name (field ID= name) is a required field and should not be missing in a goal plan template. This cannot be removed regardless of SMART goal wizard configuration.
