2789817 - Error: "Description already exists in language XYZ" While Importing Material Description in Other Languages

For the existing Products, your requirement is to import Material Description in other languages. Upon trying to import using Data Workbench object Product Other Languages in Update mode, you receive the processing error:

Description already exists in language XYZ

(where XYZ represents the language)

1. Go to Data Workbench workcenter
2. Go to Import view
3. Select the radio button for Individual Object
4. Go to Insert tab
5. Go to Standard Object tab
6. Search for the Data Workbench object Product Other Languages
7. Select Download
8. Fill data in the fields 

Example:
External_Key : AAAAA (where AAAAA represents the External Key for the Product Other Language)
Product_ID: XXXXX (where XXXXX represents the Product ID)
Language: EN
Material_Description: Example1

9. Save the file
10. Select Next and Browse for the file
11. Select Upload
12. Choose Next
13. Select Import
14. In the Monitor tab, check for the respective Task ID
The records in the file have the Processing Error 

The Material Description that you provided in the upload file in language XYZ is already existing for the Product. You can verify by logging into the system with language XYZ and checking for the respective Product in the Products workcenter.

For the existing Product, if you want to modify the Material Description from an existing language to another language, then use the Data Workbench object: Product Other Language in the Update mode and complete the data upload.

For the existing Product, if you want to maintain the Material Description in different languages, use the Data Workbench object: Product Other Language in the Insert mode. Ensure that the External ID for each needs to be different from the External Key of the Original Product and additionally, the External ID needs to be different from the External Key of the Other Language as well.

Example for importing the Material Description in two other languages

External_Key : YYYYY (where YYYYY represents the External Key for the Product Other Language)
Product_ID: XXXXX
Language: DE
Material_Description: Beispiel1

External_Key : ZZZZZ (where ZZZZZ represents the External Key for the Product Other Language)
