How to Relabel Links / Text that appear on the Time-Off Section on People Profile?

For example, Relabel:

• "Upcoming Time Off" as "Upcoming Leave of Absence" 
• "Administer Time" as "Manage Leave of Absence"

1. Navigate to Time Off section via People Profile
2. Few Time off Links / Labels Read: "Administer Time", "Upcoming Time Off"

3. How to relabel this text?

Via UI -

1. Admin center> Manage languages

2. Navigate to the language English_US

3. Download the default labels

4. Then for the locale add a custom locale - Give any name (because you will not be able to make any changes to the standard locale

5. For the custom locale download the custom labels

6. In the downloaded file add the code of the time off code with the custom translation and upload the custom file (to know the code for time off- change the language options to English debug and navigate to the homepage time off tile - see the Step 5 of option -Via Provisioning below)

7. Log off and login to see the changes

Via Provisioning

This can be Done My Managing the Locale on the Language from Provisioning. Follow the Steps below:

1. Navigate to Provisioning -> Manage Languages
2. On the respective Language where you would want to make this modification, and click on the 'Add Custom Locale' and then select Download Custom labels from the Child locale that gets created. (Note that if there is a custom locale already, you can download the custom Labels on that pop up and continue with the next steps)

        

3. On the downloaded file, please add / Update the following key - locale value pairs and upload the file using the "Upload Custom Locale" link on the snapshot above. (Please save a copy of the downloaded file as a backup)

4. After uploading, the text on the UI would be modified in the locale / language for which the changes were made.

5. The steps are common for changing any Labels of Sections or Portlets for any language on PP3. On the locale file, Insert the Key in column 1, the desired display text on column 2 and upload the file. The keys for these texts can be identified by switching the language to English debug.

A) As a customer, you don't have access to Provisioning. To complete tasks in Provisioning, contact your implementation partner. If you're no longer working with an implementation partner, contact SAP Cloud Support. 

1. Choose one of the following methods:
   • In Provisioning, select the company and choose Manage Languages in the Edit Company Settings section.
   • Go to Admin Center  Manage Languages

   The Manage Languages page shows a list of the available languages and locales.

2. For each language you want to enable, select the Active column.
3. Save the changes.
