2790783 - The Paste Function Does Not Pull The Copied Data Into The Columns

Symptom

You want to paste data from an excel file to an opportunity but the data is not loading into the columns and rows.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

This scenario can apply to different views, in this example we use Opportunities.

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Open the Opportunities view.
  3. Open any opportunity.
  4. Go to the Products tab.
  5. Click the Paste button.
  6. Copy the data from excel (or the desired source).
  7. Paste the data into the table.

You notice that the data is not automatically transferring into the columns and rows.

Cause

Your browser security settings block the data from automatically loading.

Resolution

You must add the C4C URL to the list of trusted websites.

For Google Chrome, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll down to Advanced Settings.
  3. Under System, select Open Proxy Settings.
  4. In the pop-up window, go to the Security tab.
  5. Click the Trusted Sites icon.
  6. Open Sites.
  7. Enter the URL .crm.ondemand.com and click Add.
  8. Close the settings.

For Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Tools icon.
  2. Open Internet Option.
  3. In the pop-up window, go to the Security tab.
  4. Click the Trusted Sites icon.
  5. Open Sites.
  6. Enter the URL .crm.ondemand.com and click Add.
  7. Close the settings.
