An SAP Mobile Platform (SMP) 3.0 server is installed on a host machine with multiple application & data tier nodes.
One or several nodes are not able to connect to one of the nodes.
In this given problematic node the SAP Mobile Platform server log entries like this can be seen:
"SMPServerStatusManager: 155 of 165 tracked bundles have initialized.Error: Exception thrown by the agent: java.rmi.server.ExportException:Port already in use: 5005; nested exception is:java.net.BindException: Bind failed".
