2791426 - "Additional Message Generated; See Help for More Information" Error While Updating Suppliers Using Mass Data Maintenance

You are trying to add contacts to Suppliers using Mass Data Maintenance, However the update is failing with the error messages below:

"Additional message generated; see help for more information"

"Update not possible; specified data for SUPPLIER-CONTACT_PERSON with key CATEGORY_CODE-CONTENT = `XXXXXX`  AND FIRST_BUSINESS_PARTNER_UUID-CONTENT = `YYYYYYY` AND SECOND_BUSI" (where XXXXXX represents the CATEGORY_CODE-CONTENT and YYYYYYY represents the FIRST_BUSINESS_PARTNER_UUID-CONTENT)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Mass Data Maintenance work center.
2. Enter the Mass Data Maintenance view.
3. Click on the Import Suppliers option.
4. Upload the CSV template.
5. In the Import Data to Tab field, select the Contacts tab.
6. Click on Execute Data import.

After the validation, you can see suppliers with status Failed.

In Mass Data Maintenance for Suppliers it is not possible to add new contacts to an existing supplier. The Mass Data Maintenance tool is meant to be used solely to edit attributes for contact persons that are already assigned to this supplier.

In order to assign new contacts to suppliers, you can use the migration of Contact Persons with the mode "Enhance Already Existing Records". In the tab "Contact Details" you can maintain suppliers for which the contact is a contact person.
