2791426 - Error: "Additional Message Generated; See Help for More Information" While Updating Suppliers Using Mass Data Maintenance

You are trying to add contacts to Suppliers using Mass Data Maintenance, but the update is failing with the error messages below:

"Update not possible; specified data for SUPPLIER-CONTACT_PERSON with key CATEGORY_CODE-CONTENT = `XXXXXX`  AND FIRST_BUSINESS_PARTNER_UUID-CONTENT = `YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY` AND SECOND_BUSI" (XXXXXX represents the CATEGORY_CODE-CONTENT and YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY represents the FIRST_BUSINESS_PARTNER_UUID-CONTENT)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Mass Data Maintenance work center.
2. Click on the Import Suppliers option.
3. Upload the template and choose the Contacts tab.
4. Click on Execute Data import.
5. See suppliers with status Failed.

With Mass Data Maintenance for Suppliers it is not possible to add new contact persons to an existing supplier, it is only possible to edit attributes for contact persons that are already assigned to this supplier.

In order to assign existing contact persons to suppliers, you can use the migration of contact persons with the mode "Enhance Already Existing Records". In the tab "Contact Details" you can maintain suppliers for which the contact is a contact person.
