2792577 - Message 'No matching variants found" when using the option Variant Matching in a Sales Order

• A Configurable Product isnt replaced by a Product Variant even when they have the same characteristic values and are suitable for Variant Matching.
• "No matching variants found" appear in the "Change Sales Order" or "Create Sales Order" app  but not clear why

• Variant Configuration
• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition -All Versions

1. Access the "Change Sales Order" app
2. input Sales Order number
3. Press Enter
4. add new item line and input Configuratable Product with quantity.
5. Press Enter
6. In the Variant Configuration screen , maintain the characteristic values 
7. Press the Variant Matching button
8. popup window with '"No matching variants found" appears.

A hidden characteristic is assigned to the class that is not excluded from the variant matching check

Please use the App 'Exclusion of Characteristics for Type Determination' to exclude the characteristic so that it is not taken into account during variant matching.
