2793071 - Can I request to change/customize my SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) URL or Data Center (i.e. SAC tenant move request)?

Symptom

  • The current SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) URL does not have the correct text / format.
  • Is it possible to change the SAC URL?
  • Is it possible to move my SAC tenant?
  • Can SAP move my SAP Analytics Cloud system to another SAP Data Center/landscape? - See the following link for more information: SAP Business Technology Platform Regions.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

Cause

SAP is not able to change the URL of existing SAP Analytics Cloud tenants.

Resolution

Overview

If you want to proceed, please follow steps below according to the request type:

Option A - You would like to get a different system URL provisioned on the SAME landscape/data center:

  1. Please reach out to your SAP Account Team (SAP Account Executive (AE) / Customer Engagement Executive (CEE) / Customer Success Partner (CSP) / Partner Experience Manager (PXM)) to request this option.
  2. If you do not have an SAP contact, please create an case with Technical Support via the component area "LOD-ANA-ADM" and provide the following:
    • Existing SAC tenant URL.
    • Expected SAC tenant URL in the format: <expected_name>
  3. Please provide a written confirmation in the support case with the format below:

    "I, the customer, accept the responsibility for the migration of content and data between the existing and new systems."

  4. Once the new system is created, you will be provided with a specified period to perform the content and data migration and will be informed when the old system is planned to be taken offline.

Option B - You would like to get a different system (for whatever reason, like  URL, QRC, etc.) on a DIFFERENT landscape / data center:

  1. Reach out to your SAP Account Team (SAP Account Executive (AE) / Customer Engagement Executive (CEE) / Customer Success Partner (CSP) / Partner Experience Manager (PXM)) to inform them about your request.
    • This request cannot be managed through a support case and Technical Support will reject all such requests.
  2. Once the new system is created, you will be provided with a specified period to perform the content and data migration and will be informed when the old system is planned to be taken offline.

NOTE: - If you are moving between update groups, then extra precaution is needed to make sure content and data transfer between the old and new systems is supported.

Option C- You would like to change ONLY the domain, in the SAME landscape:

Example: From: *.eu10.hcs.cloud.sap  To: *.eu10.sapanalytics.cloud

  1. Please create an case with Technical Support via the component area "LOD-ANA-ADM" and provide the following:
      • Existing SAC tenant URL.
      • Expected SAC tenant URL in the format: <expected_name>
  2. NOTE:
    • Each landscape has different list of supported domains, so not all requested domain changes can be accomplished.
    • This won't create a new tenant so no content/data migration is required.
