2793165 - Consulting: Package size determination in HANA DTP-s

The purpose of this KBA is to provide additional information about the correlation between the "Package size" setting Aggregation in a DTP and the actually created packages when:

• the source of a DTP is a HANA Datasource with one or more fields used as "Packaging and Partitioning" fields or
• the source of a DTP is a Compositeprovider (HCPR) which contains at least one HANA CV or
• the DTP/Transformation has one or more fields added as "Semantic Grouping"
• the data is seemingly not read as aggregated (independently of the source)
• the package size seems not to be applied, even in ABAP runtime in BW/4 HANA
• the source of a DTP is a HANA Analysis Process

In some cases the DTP creates packages with more or less data records, which has been defined, independently if there are packaging or semantic grouping fields.
