2794018 - On Deleting the Custom Document Type for Service Contract, it Trigger an Error

Symptom

It is not possible to delete custom document type from the fine tune activity of service contract.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the current project and click on Open Activity List.
  4. Search for fine-tune activity name Service Contracts and open it.
  5. Click on the hyperlink Maintain Document Types.
  6. Here try to delete custom document type  XYZ (where XYZ represents the custom type)

An error Document type XYZ already used by Contract.Deletion not possible is trigger.

Cause

  1. Go to the Contract work center.
  2. Go to the Contract view.
  3. Search for contract ABC (where ABC represent contract name).

As you can see there exist contract ABC, which is for the document type XYZ.

Resolution

Already in-used contract document types can not be deleted from business configuration and this is an expected system behavior.
