Symptom
You have a report with multiple rows and columns of data and some of the cells are blank/empty.
Environment
-
SAP Cloud for Customer
-
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
-
Go to Business Analytics and select the view Design Reports.
-
Open and run one of your reports.
-
You notice that some cells are blank/empty.
Cause
This will happen in reports where multiple restricted key figures have been created and no records are available to match one of the restricted key figures.
The reason for this is the blank cells are showing as null as there are no records which match the restriction passed.
No data cannot be construed as 0 and can only be seen as NULL and shown as a blank value.
Resolution
These blank cells in your report are expected system behavior when using reports with restricted key figures.
