2796380 - Proposal of Logistic Unit Failed; Logistic Unit Not Found for Product Open Quantity

Symptom

You are trying to confirm the Removal Task however system throws below error messages:

  • Proposal of logistic unit failed
  • Logistic unit not found for product open quantity.

 

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Internal Logistics Work Center.
  2. Go to the Common Tasks View.
  3. Choose New Removal sub view.
  4. Enter required Product ID and enter Quantity.
  5. Choose Request Removal and respective removal task gets created.
  6. Now go to the Task Control view and find required Task ID.
  7. Select it and choose Confirm.
  8. Select line item and choose Propose Logistics Units.
  9. Here system throws above mentioned error messages.

Cause

In this scenario, respective Logistics Unit ID is set with option Non-Inventory Managed with Single Product Only set as Yes. However, with this logistics unit settings you have maintained two products in the system which is not allowed.

Resolution

Please follow below steps to understand and correct the setting of the Logistics Unit.

  1. Go to the Warehousing and Logistics Master Data Work Center.
  2. Go to the Logistics Units View.
  3. Show All Logistics Units and find required Unit ID.
  4. Select the required ID and edit it.
  5. Navigate to the Standard Product Tab.
  6. Here you find two Product IDs maintained.
  7. Now remove one of the product ID which is not required.
  8. Perform Save.

Once it is done, no error would occur again while confirm the Removal Task.
