In ‘Define Output Format of Material Numbers’ SSCUI, for field ‘Material No. Length’, the value help shows “Possible length of material number is 1 to 40”. However, in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition the maximum material number length that can be maintained is 18. Hence, if the user tries to maintain a material number length that exceeds 18 in this field, the application generates an error message.
