Resolution
- Create a rule under the "Define Eligibility" Scenario which suits your benefit (e.g. "Define Eligibility For The Allowance Benefit Type")
- In this example, 'Dependents.Biographical Information.Date Of Birth' indicates the dependent's date of birth, not the user's.
- This rule is added to a benefit's 'Eligibility Rule' field, and 'Dependent-Specific Rule' is set to 'Yes'.
- The 'Entitlement Amount' should not be set in the benefit as the amount is being set by the rule.
- In this example, the 'No of dependents' is set to 3. This means, if a user has 3 dependents, they will be eligible for a maximum amount of 1500 * 3 = 4500. The amount 1500 is set in the eligibility rule and it is calculated for each dependent up to 3 (based on the 'No of dependents' field's value).
- It's okay to add an "Else" or "Else If" in the above eligibility rule.
