Resolution

  • Create the rule with base object "Benefits".
  • Add a parameter with following details:
    Object: Dependents
    Code: personRelationshipInfo
    Name: anything appropriate name
  • Note that the Object is "Dependents". It should not be "Dependent Information" or "Dependent Nominees" or anything else.

  •  An example rule logic is as following:
    BenDepLogic.png
  • In this example, Dep.Biographical Information.Date Of Birth indicates the dependent's date of birth, not the user's.
  • This rule is added to a benefit's eligibility rule and Dependent Specific Rule is set to Yes.

  • Entitlement Amount should not be set in the benefit as the amount is being set by the rule.
  • In this example, No of dependents is set to 2. This means, if a user has 3 dependents, he/she will be eligible for maximum amount of 1500 * 2 = 3000. The amount 1500 is set in the eligibility rule and it is for each dependent upto 2 (based on No of dependents field's value).
  •  It's okay to add an "Else" or "Else If" in the above eligibility rule.
