2797178 - Archive Job failed. Reason: java.io.IOException: response_code=401

Symptom

In the Background Job Monitoring, the Archive Job status is in Error and you see the exception below in the Logs tab:

Archive Job failed. Reason: java.io.IOException: response_code=401

In the Java default traces, you find the following errors:

Archiving job Default Version Archive Job failed.
[EXCEPTION]
java.io.IOException: Unable to create collection, returncode is 488 MODIFYPATH: Collection <SID> does not exist in any home path
at com.sap.archtech.archconn.QualifiedArchSession.open(QualifiedArchSession.java:189)
at com.sap.engine.messaging.impl.core.job.executor.ArchiveExecutor.executeArchivingJob(ArchiveExecutor.java:364)
