2798807 - How to restrict the Dismissal Protection Types displayed in the Dismissal Protection Block in People Profile?

In the Dismissal Protection Portlet, you can see all the Protection Types. Is there a way to filter the Protection Types displayed in People Profile (PP3)?

1. Go to People Profile > Dismissal Protection Portlet.
2. Click the Pencil Icon to add a new Protection Type.
3. Click on the Protection Type drop-down and you will see all the Protection Types available.
   
   

To filter the Protection Types you see in People Profile, you need to restrict the Target Population for the Dismissal Protection Configuration MDF Object.

1. Go to Manage Permission Roles and select the Role granting access to the Dismissal Protection-related Object Definitions.
2. In the Granted/Target Population, click on Edit Granting.
   
   
3. Under "Specify the target population for the other objects", look for Dismissal Protection Configuration and select "Restrict target population to".
4. On the first drop-down, select Protection Type > Protection Type ID.
5. Select the operator per your requirement. In this example, I used the = operator so that the only Protection Type I should see is Protection Type 1.
   
   
   
   Note: The configuration may vary depending on how you need to filter the Protection Types.
   
   
6. On the text field, type the Protection Type ID. Save the changes.
   
   Note: Make sure that you are adding the Protection Type ID and note the Protection Type Name (Label). Otherwise, you will get an Application Error.
   
   
7. Go to People Profile > Dismissal Protection Portlet.
8. Add a new Protection Type. Notice that the Protection Type displayed is now filtered according to the configuration in RBP.
