2798813 - Address Prefecture isn't displayed in corresponding language

Prefecture of Japanese Addresses display in different format and languages.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Account Management workcenter
2. Select Accounts view
3. Search respective account and select Edit
4. Navigate to Communication tab and Addresses subtab

Then you can find one address display as "○○○区, Tokyo", while the other display as "東京都○○○区"

There is certain logic implemented in ByD for representing addresses in different Format and languages for formatted address. Particularly for Asian language there is a logic, that dependent on amount of characters used in Latin alphabets or Asian characters, the prefecture is displayed in corresponding language.

Please check if you have maintained more Latin characters (letters and numbers) in the address line. If you add more Japanese script, the address will be formatted according to the styple used in Japan for domestics address formatting.

If you would like to  have prefecture displayed in Japanese, the best way is to maintain most of all fields in Japanese characters.
