2799425 - Error "Update not possible; specified data for SERVPROD_VALU_DATA-COST_RATE with key SET_OF_BOOKS_ID-CONTENT AND VALIDITY_DA does not exist" While Migrating the Service Valuation Data

Your requirement is to migrate Service Valuation Data using the migration tool.

During the simulation you receive the below error:

"Error detected in source record with key value 'ABC, DEF'

Update not possible; specified data for SERVPROD_VALU_DATA-COST_RATE with key SET_OF_BOOKS_ID-CONTENT = `GHI` AND VALIDITY_DA does not exist"

ABC means the Service ID.

DEF means the Company ID.

GHI means the Set of Books ID.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Select the Implementation Projects view or Overview view.
3. Search and Open the activity Migration of Service Valuation Data.
4. Choose Migrate service valuation data using the migration tool.
5. Execute Migration for the respective Migration File with migration mode Add new records.
6. In the Simulation step, you receive the mentioned error.

At least one of the services for which you are migrating valuation data do not exist in the system. You may verify this in the Services view in Product Data work center.

The error message does not necessarily mean that respective Service ID ABC does not exist in the system.

When migrating the file the system use packaging, meaning that it concurrently simulate/import a bunch of records instead of doing each one at a time. This is great for improving performance, however, as a side effect it might happen that when one record in a package fails, the entire package fails with the same error even though it's not an issue for those records.

If any of the Service IDs are not available in the system, you will not be able to migrate the Service Valuation Data. Before you try to upload the Service Valuation Data, ensure that all Service IDs present in the Migration of Service Valuation Data file exist in system. To upload the Services, you may use the activity Migration of Services.
