2799611 - Key Figures decimal places for a chart report view cannot be changed

Symptom

You changed the value of a key figure to two decimals or more, however the changes do not get reflected on the chart view.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
  2. Go to the Design Report view.
  3. Open a report with a chart view.
  4. Navigate to the key figures setting.
  5. Set Decimals to two or more.

Hover the mouse over the key figure, then you can see the value of the key figure did not change.

Cause

Chart views are designed to show the exact value including decimals points of the key figure value.

Resolution

This is the expected behavior. The key figures setting is designed to show the exact value including decimal points for the chart report view.
