Symptom
- As a recruiting user, it is possible to send an ad-hoc email to a candidate.
- How can recruiting users select the subsidiary when selecting the email template, to narrow down the number of the recruiting email templates to select from?
- How can recruiting users review the email templates organized by subsidiary?
- How can recruiting users define the email template for a business unit/subsidiary so it can be used later in communication between applicants and recruiters of that specific business unit/subsidiary?
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Resolution
1. In Manage Recruiting Settings, enable the following features:
Scroll down to the "Enable Role-based Permissions for Recruiting Email Templates" section which contains two switches:
- Contact Candidate email templates
- Offer Letter email templates
2. In Manage Permission Roles, locate a new permission category called "Recruiting Email Templates" with the following options:
- Contact Candidate email templates
- Offer Letter email templates
The above two options will show up in Role-based Permissions (RBP) only if the corresponding feature permissions are enabled in Manage Recruiting Settings.
Notes:
- The "Offer Letter email templates" permission only restricts the email templates used when sending an offer letter, not the offer letter templates used when creating an offer letter. To restrict offer letter templates , refer to the KBA 2978837.
- The "Contact Candidate email templates" permission only applies to the Contact Candidate (Email Candidate) feature. It does not apply to Interview Scheduling.
- This is based on Role-based permissions and not based on the role the user has on a requisition.
