2800343 - Document number takes up the number range interval of the next fiscal year

Image/Data is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems.  Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

When posting a document in a fiscal year for which no number range interval is maintained or displayed in transaction FBN1, the system assigns the document number from the number range interval of the subsequent fiscal year.

As a result, the posted document receives a number from an unexpected fiscal year interval instead of the number range intended for the posting fiscal year.
