Symptom
When we try to access the RMK Job Posting using the RCM Posting URL, found on the Job Postings page, we get one of following error message
- "Sorry, this job is currently deactivated".
- "Sorry, this position has been filled. "
When we go to the external RMK career site we can find the Job Posting and access it with no errors.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
- SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
Cause
The system does not append a locale to the Job Posting URL.
Resolution
The Recruiting Marketing System expects a locale for each job posting and no locale is appended to the RCM posting URL. Instead, the system uses the locale of the browser and you will be sent to the Job Posting in the language of the browser. If the Job posting does not exist in this local you will see this error message "Sorry, this job is currently deactivated" or "Sorry, this position has been filled. ".
For example if I have a Job that is posted in English US (en_US) only and the language of my browser is German (de_DE), when I click the external posting URL the system will try to send me to the de_DE version of the Job Posting which does not exist. Instead of the posting I will see the error message.
This is currently the expected behavior due to a product limitation. The current workaround is to change the locale of your browser to match the language of the Job Posting, or to post the job requisition in the language of your browser as well.
Note that when the Unified Data Model is implemented and as of Release 1H2024, all the locale-specific posting URLs are provided on the job posting page. See Enhanced Posting Experience for Career Sites Using the Unified Data Model
