Symptom
You have deleted Input Product KLM (KLM refers to Input Product id) from Bill of Material DEF (DEF refers to Bill of Material id), however the Deleted Input Product still appears in Production Model GHI (GHI refers to Production Model id).

Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Planning and Product Master Data Work Center
- Navigate to Bills of Material View
- Search for BoM DEF
- Select Edit
- Navigate to Input Products Tab
You observe Input product KLM has Deleted Flag and related variant also ticked.
- Navigate to Planning and Product Master Data Work Center
- Navigate to Production Models View
- Search for Production Model GHI
- Select Edit
- Navigate to Bill of operations Tab and sub tab Product Assignment
You observe Input product KLM still presents although it has been deleted in Bill of Material DEF.
Cause
This is system standard behavior. The ECO (Engineering Change Order) through which this Input product KLM is deleted has a valida from date YYYY.MM.DD. When explosion date is before this date, this Input product is valid; when explosion date is on or after this date, this Input product is not valid. Since in production model, there is no option to filter explosion date, this Input product still displays as it is valid on some days.
Resolution
If you want to remove an input product from production model product assignment, you can untick related BoM varint for it in BoM.
