2802037 - Deleted Input Product still appearing in Bill of Material and Production Model

You have deleted Input Product KLM (KLM refers to Input Product id) from Bill of Material DEF (DEF refers  to Bill of Material id),Deleted Input Product still appears in BoM DEF and Production Model GHI (GHI refers to Production Model id).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to Planning and Product Master Data Work Center
2. Navigate to Bills of Material View
3. Search for BoM DEF
4. Select Edit
5. Navigate to Input Products Tab

You observe Input product KLM still present although it has been deleted in Bill of Material.

1. Navigate to Planning and Product Master Data Work Center
2. Navigate to Production Models View
3. Search for Production Model GHI
4. Select Edit
5. Navigate to Bill of operations Tab and sub tab Product Assignment

You observe Input product KLM still present although it has been deleted in Bill of Material DEF.

In Bill of Material DEF although you have deleted  Input Product KLM, you have not assigned the deleted product to variant.

In order to assign a variant for an input product which need to be deleted, follow the below steps

1. Navigate to Planning and Product Master Data Work Center.
2. Navigate to Bills of Material View
3. Search for BoM DEF
4. Select Edit
5. Navigate to Input Products Tab
6. Select the line item of Input product KLM and select Delete button
7. A new line item is generated, Now assign a  New ECO id, set Deleted indicator and assign a  variant
8. Select on Save

To reflect the changes in Production Model

1. Navigate to Planning and Product Master Data Work Center
2. Navigate to Production Models View
3. Search for Production Model GHI
4. Select Edit
5. Select Check Consistency
6. Select Release Production Model for Planning and Execution
7. Select on Save

Deleted Input Product still appearing in BoM and Production Model, Unable to delete product in BoM, Input product  still present although it has been deleted in Bill of Material. , KBA , unable to delete input product in bom , unable to delete input product in pm , AP-PMM-PM , Production Model , Problem
