Symptom
- Should IOCPUTime in CPU metrics calculation be used?
- The following query in the monitoring script gives unexpected CPU hike:
SELECT EngineNumber , CPUTime , SystemCPUTime , UserCPUTime , IOCPUTime , 'Sample_dtm' = getdate()
INTO #cpu_stats_beg
FROM master..monEngine WHERE 1=2
- However, no CPU hike is observed based on the OS monitoring.
- This ASE server was recently upgraded from v.15.5 to v.16.0.
